Upon joining MSUOTC you will be issued with various items of equipment, most of which you will be able to take home with you if you wish, although storage will be available at the barracks. As an infantry based unit, MSUOTC holds the following weaponry:

L85A2 5.56mm

The L85A2 5.56mm Rifle is the Britsh Army's Standard combat rifle, made by Heckler and Koch (UK) and fires NATO standard 5.56 x 45mm ammunition; and has been in service since 1985.

Light Support Weapon (LSW)

From the same family as the L85 Individual weapon, the LSW has a heavier and longer barrel, allowing greater muzzle velocity and accuracy than the Individual Weapon. When fired from the integrated bipod, and using the standard SUSAT sight, the LSW is impressively accurate and consistent.

Browning 9mm

The browning high power 9mm pistol is the stardard issue sidearm to all HM forces. If you make it into the shooting team you will undoubtably get to use this weapon.

CWS

Common Weapon Sight is the standard issue night vision sight which can be used with the L85A2 to provide night time targeting and surveillance capability.
